DDC kick-starts Chinar Plantation Drive at Bandipora | KNO

District Commissioner Bandipora Sajad Hussain Ganie here on Thursday Kick Started Plantation Drive and planted Chinar tree saplings in Premises of Mini-Secretariat Bandipora. He was accompanied by Assistant Director Floriculture Tariq Ahamd Habib.

The drive was organized by the Floriculture Department. On the occasion the DDC was informed that Floriculture Department is providing 250 Chinar saplings to schools and other Government institutions free of cost for plantation. Desirous Individuals can also avail the facility.

Assistant Director Floriculture Tariq Habib said that Department of Floriculture will plant Chinar saplings at different schools and other Government institutions across the district during the plantation drive. Department will provide Chinar saplings free of cost to the people to help improve green cover in the district, and the drive would continue until the end of the month, he added.
